The OMies at York Correctional — Niantic, CT

We're honored to bring kirtan behind the walls at York Correctional Institution in Niantic. Kirtan is call-and-response chanting — no experience needed, no music to read, nothing to believe. We sing a line, you sing it back, and together the room fills with one voice.

For this gathering we'll share simple, repeating chants like Om Namah Shivaya and Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu — may all beings everywhere be happy and free. This is an invitation to set everything else down for an hour and simply sing.
